Nomad XT
The Nomad XT is built with the ultimate streamlining in mind. A properly balanced sidemount rig should not require additional weight on the shoulders. Divers who wear heavy tanks or those just getting started with sidemount will often opt this older solution to resolve trim issues. Seeing this makeshift solution in the field, we redesigned our offroad sidemount rig with a new, wing design. Narrow at the neck and angled at the sides with more lift added to the bottom, the Nomad XT wing is designed to give lift where its most needed at the hips.

We've also moved the inflator to the center, behind the neck and added an additional OPV to the bottom so divers who wish to swap these can now do so and retain an OPV dump at the bottom of the wing for safe gas dumping when inverted.

Made with a super-tough exterior and modular flexibility, the outer panels of the wing are engineered using SuperFabric(r) brand technology for optimum resistance to punctures and abrasions, while remaining very flexible.

In addition to its rugged exterior, the Nomad XT has the added benefit of being a modular system: the harness, wing, buttplate and crotch stap are all separate elements. This allows the traveling explorer (or any diver wishing to modify their rig) the ability to trade out wings, remove the buttplate or make any fit adjustments necessary to meet the objective of the dive mission.

A Gusset Control System (GCS) allows you to control lift when switching out various types of cylinders, such as going from steel to aluminum or twin tanks to single. Without the Gusset Control and without using the wing keepers on the waist belt, the Nomad XT delivers a full 50 lbs of lift.

The Nomad XT Sidemount Rig comes assembled and includes a TransPac XT harness, Nomad XT wing, buttplate and 2 inch crotch strap, plus loop bungees and chokers. Diver needs to specify TransPac size (M-XXL) when ordering. Available in single or dual bladder. Made in the U.S.A.

Nomad LTZ

Evolving to provide superior performance, the Nomad LTZ takes sidemount diving to the next level. The extremely durable exterior SuperFabric material is resistant to the elements of diving, whether diving on a quiet reef, pushing deep into a cave system, or scooting through a deck opening on a wreck dive. With the inflator and exhaust valves placed at the front/inside of the wing and not on the exterior, the valves are safe and free from exposure.

With 35 lbs (15.8 kg) of lift and a low profile design, the Nomad LTZ performs in all levels of sidemount diving. With additional lift typically needed toward the lower back when sidemounting, the combination of shape and contour of the bladder create this lift achieving the optimum trim.

An integrated deluxe style webbing harness using pivot rings on the shoulders provides a comfortable and customizable fit for nearly any size diver. The SuperFabric shoulder straps provide added durability from abrasions along with a channel on the left shoulder strap for the exhaust valve's pull dump cord allowing for easy access. The cross-chest strap and a 2 inch (5 cm) padded crotch strap holds the harness securely in place, preventing unwanted shifting or movement of the harness no matter what type of diving you are doing.

With the valves now on the front/inside of the wing, the corrugated inflator hose routes from the bottom/right of the wing up the diver's side and secures to the chest, shoulder strap D ring with a bungee loop for easy access. A second dump valve is located at the bottom, left corner of the wing. With the versatility of the Nomad LTZ and the ability to customize to your preference, the corrugated inflator hose and left-side dump valve can be used on either side of the wing by simply unscrewing each valve and swapping positions. With a third dump valve located at the top/inside of the wing with a pull cord routed down the left shoulder strap, there are multiple, easy access points to vent air from the wing with either hand. An optional 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) lift-capacity backup bladder is available for divers needing a redundant source of buoyancy.

Our exclusive ring bungee and tank neck choker system, included, provide a secure and efficient method for mounting sidemount cylinders to the Nomad LTZ. The ring bungee can be lengthened or shortened simply by moving the connection point of the bungee on the daisy chain loops located on the inside of the Nomad LTZ. The butt plate, made of reinforced nylon to provide the proper amount of rigidity to hold tanks in position and eliminate sag along with two stainless steel handles, provides the lower attachment point for cylinders.

Diverite Steel XT Lightweight Backplate

Dive Rite's stainless steel XT backplate is one of the few backplates that is made in the USA. All Dive Rite backplates are laser cut and individually finished by hand. This attention to detail ensures that there will be no rough, jagged edges that could potentially damage harness or accessory webbing. The XT backplate uses an 11 gauge, low carbon and rust resistant 316L grade stainless steel. Weighing in at 5.2 lbs (2.4kg), stainless steel plates are a popular option for divers looking for a more even distribution of ballast weight.

The XT backplate is set up with 11 inch (27.9cm) on center mounting holes to accommodate standard double tank bolt kits, including two holes for the upper bolt to give user adjustability of tank height. Two sets of 2 inch slots along the center allow divers to use the backplate for single tank diving without the need for a single tank adapter. A series of slots and holes along the outer edges of the backplate provide different options for mounting lights, pony bottles, lift bags, and other accessories. 2 inch (50mm) and 1 inch (25mm) slots at the bottom center of the plate allow for any crotch strap up to 2 inch (50mm) in width to be used. Diverite Quick Release Deluxe Harness

A webbing harness designed for hard backplates that provides comfort and streamlining. Swivel points on the shoulder straps ensure a comfortable fit, which is especially important for women, as well as men with broad shoulders. A chest strap keeps the harness securely in place. Two-inch (50mm) nylon webbing provides strength, yet is soft and won't dig into the body. Harness is adjustable by cutting off excess webbing once diver has sized the harness to his body stature. Standard two-inch webbing allows for customization with a wide variety of pockets and accessories, depending on the needs and desires of the individual diver. Tubular webbing sleeves are included for all points where webbing will come into contact with the backplate to prevent abrasion. Includes marine-grade stainless steel hardware. 1 inch Crotch Strap

Preferred by most divers for its general comfort, the 1-inch crotch strap is ideal for fastening a harness and backplate securely to a diver's body. By using a crotch strap, divers can reduce the likelihood of their gear slipping upwards on the body in the water, resulting in the tank hitting the back of the head during a dive. Nylon webbing provides strength, yet is soft and won't dig into the body. The 1-inch (25mm) crotch strap comes with a slide release buckle and scooter ring for divers who scooter and want the convenience of a crotch strap that can be adjusted easily. Made in the U.S.A.

2 inch Crotch Strap

Preferred by divers who use scooters (DPVs) for extended periods of time due to the added comfort the 2-inch width provides. Used for fastening a harness and backplate securely to a diver's body, the 2-inch crotch strap is used to reduce the likelihood of gear slipping upwards on the body in the water, resulting in the tank hitting the back of the head during a dive. Continuous piece of nylon webbing provides strength, yet is soft and won't dig into the body. Includes a neoprene sleeve to protect exposure suit from abrasion. Made in the U.S.A.

Diverite Rec Exp Wing

A hybrid wing, the Rec Series can be worn on single or double tanks making it one of our most popular wings. When diving single tanks, our Gusset Control System streamlines the wing, keeping it close to the body. This avoids the taco effect of the wing wrapping around the tank, away from the diver, which diminishes buoyancy control. Available in single or dual bladder, the Rec Series has 45lbs/20.4 kg of lift and can accommodate two 85ft 3/12 L back mounted cylinders.

Divers may choose from our durable 1680 ballistic nylon EXP material or our even more rugged SuperFabric(r) brand technology XT material that creates an armor clad outer shell that is impervious to damaging pinches and cuts, with a 1680 ballistic nylon divers side panel. Both the Rec EXP (Model BC 4300) and Rec XT (Model 5300) are further enhanced with a heavy duty, 210 denier nylon laminated bladder.

As a part of our modular BCD system, it can be matched with either a TransPac(r) XT, Transplate or any metal backplate and webbing harness.
