Hurricane Matthew 2016 Update

 

Hurricane Matthew exploded into Mosquito Lagoon in 2016. It made a mark in the campsites, but did NOT destroy them. Some landmark trees were toppled but otherwise the islands, save Headwinds, #4, remained mostly intent. Headwinds was swamped with high water and as of January 2017, was still 'wet'. Its very close to the water line.

There was certainly more firewood and palm leaves laying around!
