Crystal River - 31 December 2000

An open water class for Oscar Hidalgo and Brian Johnson.  Steel Jones came along to snorkel.  The water temp ranged from 64 to 72 degrees. VIS was not so great except down near the cavern/spring entrance. The outside air temperature was 24 degrees when we made our first dive off a large pontoon boat.

We rented a pontoon boat from the Plantation Inn Marina

The dives are done, we've changed and are just starting to get warm.
Steel is happy it's over!

There were plenty of huge tarpon around.
Above one is looking a Steel. Maybe thinking they look alike?
Below is the closest I could get to one.
This one below probably weighed in at 300+ lbs.
